It’s not too often that bands take the time to really try to tantalize all of your senses during a show, but when it comes to Didges Christ Superdrum, that is the goal every time. With this band, it’s not just about the music, as they try to fully entertain you. Sure, there’s instruments like the didgeridoo that you might not see very often, and there’s black light reflective paint that will make your eyes pop, but when you start seeing the fire, come talk to me.
No es muy frecuente que las bandas se tomen el tiempo para tratar de tentar todos tus sentidos durante un espectáculo, pero cuando se trata de Didges Christ Superdrum, ese es el objetivo cada vez. You will probably recognize some of the people in the band, as they have been in the music scene more than just a little bit. It’s not just regional heroes, these guys have toured the entire country. With the lead singer’s former band touring the country on Ozzfest back in the day, they bring the big venue entertainment spectrum to even the smallest of stages.

Did you need a sexy dancer to focus on while the band plays? They got that down to a science. There’s so many flashing and twirling light up objects, it’s hard to even name them all, as they change with each song, hypnotizing the audience, which may be the goal of an interstellar band like this.

Just because the band has famous members, it does not mean that you will necessarily recognize them playing on the stage. They have so many over-the-top outfits, it’s hard to determine if there’s actually a human inside these alien creatures. Not only do they have these crazy outfits, but they have crazy instruments like the didgeridoo and other things that you don’t normally see very often on stage that will make you look twice and question what you’re seeing.

It’s kind of like just when you get lost in their original music, they play a cover with a twist that takes you a minute to catch on that it’s a song that you’ve heard before. It’s funny to watch the recognition settle in on peoples faces as they realize that it’s a cover that they love. Hearing songs like “Wish” by Nine Inch Nails and “New World Order” by Ministry are just a couple of the gems that you might find them playing on stage.

There’s a bit that harkens back to the bygone era of the industrial age, where bands used all kinds of crazy objects to make noises, just to see if the audience would notice. When you find yourself questioning what they are doing on stage, and finding yourself to be accurate in your assumptions, you can’t help but smile a little bit. There might be some distortion to give it an other worldly effect, but this is a band that is definitely worth seeing.
Hay un poco que se remente a la época pasada de la era industrial, donde las bandas usaban todo tipo de objetos locos para hacer ruidos, solo para ver si el público se daría cuenta. Cuando te encuentras cuestionando lo que están haciendo en el escenario, y te encuentras preciso en tus suposiciones, no puedes evitar sonreír un poco. Puede que haya alguna distorsión para darle otro efecto mundano, pero esta es una banda que definitivamente vale la pena ver.
The visual effects only add to the music on the stage, as it literally transports you to feeling like you were in an alien spaceship watching a concert. You might find yourself or your friends glowing with the black lights, and this is just one of the many effects that you can expect that their shows. It’s the fire dancing that really suckers you in, but it’s worth seeing the whole gestaltic performance.
Los efectos visuales solo se suman a la música en el escenario, ya que literalmente te transporta a sentirte como si estuvieras en una nave espacial alienígena viendo un concierto. Es posible que te encuentres a ti mismo o a tus amigos brillando con las luces negras, y este es solo uno de los muchos efectos que puedes esperar que se muestren.
