This was the second game of the playoffs, and the final
will be tomorrow in Port Charlotte. It’s
free, so if you are in the area, no excuses, unless you have to work another
job like I do. Sorry in advance…
Este fue el segundo partido de los
playoffs, y la final será mañana en Port Charlotte. Es gratis, así que si estás en la zona, no

In case you are just tuning in, the Rays took on
the Yankees yesterday, though the New Yorkers gave them a little bit of a beat
down. Rays have this thing about letting
the other team think that they’re down and out, but then they come back and fight
with a vengeance, which is what happened again.
En caso de que solo esté sintonizando,
los Rays se enfrentaron a los Yankees ayer, aunque los neoyorquinos les dieron
un poco de paliza. Los Rays tienen esto
de dejar que el otro equipo piense que están abajo y fuera, pero luego regresan

Spoiler alert: Rays won the second game. That’s why there is a third game. That’s tomorrow at noon.

These two teams have been going back and forth,
with some inning seeming as if it’s merely a game of catch between the pitcher
and catcher. Flash innings go by super fast,
like what just happened? Then there’s those
battle innings, where one team is trying to out whoop and cry the other as a
distraction.

viniendo, con alguna entrada que parece ser simplemente un juego de captura
entre el lanzador y el receptor. Los innings

Let’s just start with a mix from the
beginning. Don’t let my words distract
you. Let the pictures tell the story for
a few moments:

That only brings us to the third inning, with a score of Yankees up by a
couple, having four runs, and the Rays down by a couple, with only two runs. With action straight out the gate, this was a
good game, so without further ado, here’s more photos of the action:

At the end of the third inning, the score was tied
up. Even though the Yankees started out
strong with three runs in the first inning, once the score was tied up after
the third inning, it was time to get serious.
They let the Yankees score one more, but then it was no scores for a few
innings, as both teams brought out their serious problem solver pitchers that
would simply not allow any runs to happen during that segment.
Al final de la tercera entrada, el
marcador estaba empatado. A pesar de que
los Yankees comenzaron fuertes con tres carreras en la primera entrada, una vez
que el marcador estaba empatado después de la tercera entrada, era hora de
ponerse serios. Dejaron que los Yankees

The Rays pulled their pitcher after that run, and
was that when “Welcome to the Jungle” was cued up to play? Let’s just say that the air of energy of the
field shifted completely, like the Yankees knew that they were in trouble, facing
a serious intimidation factor the minute his foot touched the field, like he
knew he was there to stop their fun run.
Los Rays sacaron a su lanzador después
de esa carrera, ¿y fue entonces cuando "Welcome to the Jungle" fue
preparada para jugar? Digamos que el
aire de energía del campo cambió por completo, como si los Yankees supieran que
estaban en problemas, enfrentando un grave factor de intimidación en el momento
en que su pie tocó el campo, como si supiera que estaba allí para detener su

The fifth, sixth and seventh innings would have no runs
from either side, as the Yankees answered back with a slick pitcher. Some of those innings flew by faster than a
blink of an eye. Already the next inning?

tendrían carreras de ninguno de los dos lados, ya que los Yankees respondieron
con un hábil lanzador. Algunas de esas

The Rays did not pull ahead until the eighth
inning. They finally tied the score, then
got one run ahead. Of course, in the
ninth inning, the Yankees answered back with another run to tie up the score.

marcador, luego consiguieron una carrera por delante. Eso sí, en la novena entrada, los Yanquis
respondieron con otra carrera para empatar el marcador.
That’s when the real nail biting began. Would the Rays be able to score? Or would the Yankees take the win right then
and there?
Fue entonces cuando comenzó la
verdadera mordida de uñas. ¿Podrían
anotar los Rays? ¿O los Yankees se
llevarían la victoria en ese momento?
Seemingly, a good time was had by all. Neither team can complain, as the score is
tied going into the final, winner-take-all, game for the playoff championship. Given how good this game was, I can only
imagine what noon will bring, as Yankees take on Rays for the final showdown in
Port Charlotte, the last of the free games if you are local.
Aparentemente, todos lo pasaron
bien. Ninguno de los dos equipos puede
quejarse, ya que el marcador está empatado de cara al partido final, el ganador

Even
if you are here from out of the area, it’s still free, which is always in the
budget for family fun. This game will
show who has the most heart to want to take the title for this win. Pretty evenly matched, each having one win
under their belt, let’s see who our new FCL champions will be starting at noon
at the Charlotte Sports Complex on 776.
